Dr. Saj Jivraj


Dr. Saj Jivraj

Dr. Saj Jivraj completed his dental degree at the University of Manchester in England and his Advanced Prosthodontic training at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles.

He is the Former Chairman Section of Fixed Prosthodontics and Operative Dentistry at University of Southern California School of Dentistry.

Dr Jivraj has published numerous articles on Esthetic and Implant Dentistry in peer reviewed journals, and has presented on aspects of Implant Dentistry and Advanced Prosthodontic procedures both nationally and internationally.

He is co-author of the textbook “Treatment Planning in Implant Dentistry,” published by the British Dental Association and is chief editor for the book "Graftless solutions for Edentulous patients," published by Springer. He is on the Editorial Board of the Journal of Esthetic and Restorative Dentistry, ad hoc reviewer for the Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry. He currently holds a Faculty Position as an Associate Clinical Professor at the USC School of Dentistry, and Clinical Teacher at the Eastmann Dental Institute in London.

He is co-founder of the Digital Dentistry Institute ( which is a global training institute which provides dental professionals advanced training in aesthetic and implant procedures.

Dr. Dennis Tarnow

Interdisciplinary Management of Esthetic Problem Cases

The treatment planning of complex cases requires the highest level of knowledge and skill of the treating team. It is an orchestration of procedures including proper sequencing and timing that makes the difference. An envisionment of the final case before starting is required to know where the goal of treatment will be directed. This, in conjunction with the patients’ needs and clinical situation comprise the decision-making process for what is the best treatment for the patient.

Learning Objectives:

  • An understanding of the interdisciplinary approach to challenging esthetic cases.
  • Identifying different disciplines in dentistry: restorative care, orthodontics and periodontics.
  • Esthetically based approach to the diagnosis of anterior dental problems.
  • Esthetic treatment plan will be enhanced without sacrificing the structural, functional and biological aspects of the patient's dentition.


Dr. Dennis Tarnow is currently Clinical Professor of Periodontology and Director of Implant Education at Columbia School of Dental Medicine. He is the former Professor and Chairman of the Department of Periodontology and Implant Dentistry at New York University College of Dentistry. Dr. Tarnow has a certificate in Periodontics and Prosthodontics and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology. He is a recipient of the Master Clinician Award from the American Academy of Periodontology, Teacher of the Year Award from New York University and Distinguished Lecturer Award from the American College of Prosthodontists in 2015. Dr. Tarnow has a private practice in New York City, and has been honored with a wing named after him at New York University College of Dentistry. He has published over 225 articles on perio-prosthodontics and implant dentistry and has co-authored four textbooks including one titled The Single Tooth Implant. Dr. Tarnow has lectured extensively in the United States and internationally in over 45 countries.
