Patients can be scheduled and treated the day of their emergency or treatment need, with no preparatory work ups other than a simple x-ray. In this way the patient’s needs are satisfied leaving the office with the solution to the problem in place the day the tooth is lost with great esthetics . This protocol is efficacious, patient preferred and provides the clinician with extreme satisfaction in making the patient happy and growing the practice.

Regenerative materials continue to evolve in their implementation and predictability. They have expanded from using autogenous bone grafting to allografts that are fiber-based and xenografts that combine collagen with particulates. These evolutions provide the scaffolds and, in some instances, the biologic inductive agents that make the outcomes more robust and esthetic. This hands-on workshop will give the background on material selections along with the experience of handling these various materials in a variety of clinical situations such as extraction site defects, deficient osseous ridges, and peri-implantitis deformities. In addition, the workshop will cover some of the barrier options available and when they should and might no longer be necessary.
